With the Neue Weststadt climate quarter project, a climate-neutral hydrogen quarter with 500 apartments, office and commercial space and a university has been built in Esslingen am Neckar in recent years. The centerpiece of Neue Weststadt is the energy supply concept, which provides for a coupling of the building and mobility sectors.
A case study by Prof. Dr. M. Norbert Fisch on the "P2G&H - Green Hydrogen with Waste Heat Utilization" concept was recently published in the 2nd volume of "Energiewende und digitale Transformation" by Birkhäuser-Verlag. The concept approach P2G&H (Power to Gas and Heat) was realized in the Klimaquartier Neue Weststadt.
