Online workshop "Using renewable energy sources for the heating transition"

Back to News

After the last online workshop series was very well received and the lively exchange between science and practice continues to be a central concern for us, we will again be offering an online workshop series in 2024.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Preliminary work and data collection, feasibility studies and concept examples for the integration of heat pumps in neighborhood supply systems
  • Development and provision of standardized nationwide information on the potential of near-surface geothermal energy via the GeotIS data portal
  • Options for the construction, operation and monitoring of underground heat storage facilities in disused mines
  • Quality assurance and improvement of near-surface geothermal systems from planning and design to implementation and commissioning
  • Orientation for the changeover: planning, implementation and continuously optimized operation of heat pump heating systems in existing buildings

Information on the research projects presented by the Steinbeis Innovation Center (siz) energieplus, the Institute of Thermal Engineering and Thermodynamics at the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg together with the DBI, the Institute for Solar Energy Research in Hamelin (ISFH) and the joint partners of the QEWSplus project as well as the Leibniz Institute for Applied Geophysics (LIAG) with the Georg-August University of Göttingen is available under the following links:
