Start-up project Center for light and environmentally friendly buildings

Project description

The start-up project focused on the conceptual development of a system of lightweight environmentally friendly buildings (LUB) and on the content-related and organizational linking of the TU Braunschweig with the Fraunhofer WKI. Such concepts are necessary to demonstrate and prove the feasibility as well as the ecological and economic advantages. At the same time, it is necessary to improve existing products and develop new ones. Consequently, the focus of this start-up project is on product development. In addition, the aim of product development is to involve the relevant industries, retain existing customers and acquire new customers.

At the same time as this start-up project, further research activities will be initiated in the field of organic building materials and wood-based materials at the TU Braunschweig. The research activities include basic research in the fields of "new analytical methods for hybrid building systems" and "performance criteria for LUB".

Modular, decentralized building technology
sustainable energy supply concepts for lightweight and environmentally friendly buildings
innovative solutions for the combination of façade elements and technology (PV façade, modular technology in façade modules, etc.)
"Plug & play" building technology with a high level of prefabrication in terms of quality assurance and achieving objectives
