Quality management for building performance

Project description

The aim of the project is to develop and demonstrate a practical building management system and a suitable tool for this purpose. This quality management for building performance is intended to close a gap between the construction and commissioning of non-residential buildings in Europe.

The project includes three innovative ICT-driven tools that enable effective quality management in all relevant areas within the life cycle of a building:

Performance Test Bench: specification and automatic validation software of the building management system using active functional descriptions
Comfortmeter: web-based questionnaire to determine user comfort
HPS/NG9: energy measuring device with digital data analysis
The project partners will test new quality management processes in around 20 buildings. The TU Braunschweig is undertaking the self-experiment: the IGS will optimize existing TUBS buildings and support the commissioning of new buildings. The goal: perfect building performance with the best possible functions and minimized costs.
