The aim of the station district is to create an urban quarter with short distances, public spaces and facilities such as parks, green streetscapes and squares as well as cultural and social offerings in buildings and public spaces. In addition to urban planning aspects, the station district will also focus on careful handling of rainwater, drought and summer heat, a change in sustainable mobility behavior and green squares, courtyards and streets.
Following the two public events in January 2020 and July 2021, an event was held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Lokpark at Schwartzkopffstraße 3 to provide information on the current status of planning in the Bahnhofsquartier.
The Steinbeis Innovation Center energieplus (SIZ) was represented on site by Thomas Wilken and Sven Lips.
