We develop and research sustainable and climate-neutral energy supply concepts at building, district and city level.
Sustainable buildings and cities don't just need high-tech. Only when integral concepts and new technologies, experience and innovative tools are brought together in a project is a built environment created that is more than just energy-efficient. Architecture, functionality, user integration, cost-effectiveness and quality management: that is truly sustainable, that is energieplus!
As a company in the Steinbeis Group, the Steinbeis Innovation Center energieplus (SIZ) is an affiliated institute of the Technical University of Braunschweig and conducts research into sustainable, cross-sector concepts for cities and municipalities. Another focus is on research in the field of quality management and operational optimization of buildings and technical systems. As generalists with a strong practical focus, we work on research projects at the interfaces between the various stakeholders throughout the planning and life cycle, including the corresponding digitalized processes. The focus of our work is on the application-oriented implementation of projects with the diligence of scientific standards.

Quality is the key to sustainable buildings.
SIZ energieplus develops strategic concepts for energy and quality management and carries out scientific analyses of the performance of buildings and systems.
In our research projects, we investigate the possible applications of innovative, digital tools and methods - from building information modeling to AI-based operational optimization.

Far back, behind the mountains of words, far from the countries of vowels and consonants, live the blind texts. They live in seclusion in Buchstabhausen on the coast of the Semantik, a large linguistic ocean. A small stream called Duden flows through their village and supplies them with the necessary regularities. It is a paradisiacal land where "fried" sentences fly into your mouth.
